I’m just a gal who loves to knit sweaters. After consuming — and thoroughly enjoying! — lots & lots of gorgeous patterns from talented designers, I decided to write my own! My goal is to create easy to follow, wearable, and well-fitting designs that are super fun both to knit & to wear. I also prioritize longevity in my designs, because nothing’s worse (to me) than a sweater that sags & pills after just a couple of wears. This influences my choice of fiber as well as aspects of my garments’ construction.
I take a great deal of inspiration from Elizabeth Zimmerman. Her conversational, warm, and funny tone showed me how fun reading about knitting can be. I want to make my knitting patterns fun to read, too — rather than feeling like you’re just following a list of numbers on a spreadsheet.
I have a background in fine art & illustration, and am currently a full time graduate student. I live in San Diego with my husband and adorable ragdoll cat.
“This pattern is amazing. I did this as my first stranded colorwork project and it was super accessible - the instructions are clear and helpful, and the chart is simple enough to not feel overwhelming but is still very engaging and looks stunning! This is one of the best-fitting sweaters I’ve ever knitted and I will definitely be making more.”

“I absolutely love this pattern! This was my second-ever sweater (shoutout to Kim’s helix pattern being my first) and my very first experience with colorwork. It seemed daunting at first, but the instructions are so clear and she even included cute sketches for extra clarification. The colorwork itself is somehow simple while looking complex and just beautiful, making it perfect for novice knitters looking for a larger project.”

“Loved the pattern! It’s a great first pattern for a first time colorwork! Chart was easy to read and Kim will answer any questions! Can’t wait to make more of her patterns and more of the halftone pullover in all color combos”

“I’ve tested many sweater patterns and this one had the clearest instructions for the raglan increases and the colorwork! Kim’s patterns are fun and engaging and very accessible for knitters who are new to certain techniques.”

“This is a perfect pattern for a colourwork novice, but also great fun for an experienced knitter. It is beautifully written and easy to follow. I’m going to be making a whole bunch of these!” —GlamRockChick on Ravelry
“Really, really love and enjoyed this pattern. This was my first finished sweater and the first one with colorwork as well. The colorwork was so fun and easy to read. I already have plans to make multiple halftone pullovers and check out Kim’s other patterns.”
